Reverend Jane Finn

Jane joined the Minster team in July 2018 as Curate and was priested in July 2019. She has joint responsibilities together with the rest of the team for the spiritual and pastoral care and oversight of the congregation and for the wider community across the town and Borough.

She heads up the Social Justice Vision Group within which she spearheads the focus around inclusivity and spiritual access for all. She has instigated the re-ordering of the Rokeby Chapel at the Minster in contextual response to mental health issues and suicide. She is a contact point and liaison for all those inspired by Anne Lister, who was baptised, worshipped, and was buried in the Minster.

She develops links and community globally with all those who are seeking God through their understanding of Anne or are researching Anne. She organises and leads the quiet days at the Minster, developing and enriching the Minster’s spiritual heritage, and has developed a Pilgrimage walk in conjunction with the British Pilgrimage Trust.
